JD VANCE WRITES FOREWORD TO NEW GIORGIA MELONI BOOK

U.S. Vice President JD Vance writes foreword to Italy Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni’s new book
Marco Vicenzino, Giorgia Meloni’s book agent, said:
“Giorgia’s Vision, gives readers direct access to her worldview — how she governs,
how decisions are made behind the scenes, and what it means to exercise authority under real-world
pressure. It offers an unfiltered account of leadership in action, without intermediaries interpreting or
diluting those choices.”
After forewords by Donald Trump Jr. in the U.S. and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in India for Meloni’s first book, I Am Giorgia, Vice President JD Vance now places her governing vision at the center of the global political debate in the foreword to her new book, Giorgia’s Vision.
NEW YORK, NEW YORK — Skyhorse Publishing announced that U.S. Vice President JD Vance has written the foreword to Giorgia’s Vision, the book by Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, published in the U.S. on April 28, 2026. Giorgia’s Vision is available now for purchase in the United States.
In his foreword, Vance frames the book as a timely intervention in debates reshaping Western politics, arguing that nations must rebuild internal strength in order to remain credible abroad. He draws direct parallels between political pressures facing Europe and those confronting the United States, suggesting that both are grappling with fundamental questions about sovereignty, governance, and national purpose.
Vance writes that “a nation is not merely a market — it is a people,” warning that democratic societies risk strategic weakness when economic growth is allowed to substitute for social cohesion, legitimacy, and state capacity. The argument, he suggests, applies as directly to the United States as it does to Europe.
Giorgia’s Vision follows Meloni’s memoir, I Am Giorgia, and is based on extended conversations with journalist Alessandro Sallusti. While the earlier book focused on Meloni’s personal and political journey, the new volume centers on how Italy’s prime minister governs, addressing questions of power, responsibility, and decision-making under pressure.
The U.S. edition of Meloni’s first book, I Am Giorgia, featured a foreword by Donald Trump Jr., while the India edition included a foreword by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi — a global positioning that continues with Vance’s foreword to Meloni’s second book, Giorgia’s Vision.
“The first book, I Am Giorgia, told Giorgia Meloni’s personal story,” said Marco Vicenzino, Meloni’s agent who spearheaded and secured her two-book U.S. publishing contract and all accompanying forewords. “This second book, Giorgia’s Vision, gives readers direct access to her worldview — how she governs, how decisions are made behind the scenes, and what it means to exercise authority under real-world pressure. It offers an unfiltered account of leadership in action, without intermediaries interpreting or diluting those choices.”
Rather than a campaign memoir or ideological manifesto, the book presents what Vance describes as Meloni’s governing perspective shaped by the tension between popular mandates and institutional durability. Giorgia’s Vision is also scheduled for publication in India later this year.
