The death of the former U.S. Secretary of State (1973-77), and most influential diplomat of his times, at age 100 occurs at a critical moment in history when his sober diplomatic realism is needed more than ever in a turbulent world where responsible leadership is in short supply and the consequences for such a void could prove catastrophic.

As a human being, Dr. Kissinger had flaws and made his share of mistakes. However, his overall grand strategic outlook of global affairs was rooted in a solid and judicious understanding of history and the driving forces that shape its evolution and continue to impact international security and stability on a daily basis.

This played a key role during his years in government and the wise advice he regularly shared with leaders, statesmen and key decision-makers around the world throughout his life after public service.
